Olivia's swimming lesson

Olivia had her very first swimming lesson today. After a VERY traumatic fall into an inground pool last summer, Olivia has had a fear of the water, and will not leave the stairs of our pool, not even on my hip. I signed her up for swimming lessons at her gymnastics place, Gym Ken, because her teacher, Miss Kara, is the swim instructor, and I figured that Olivia trusted her! I'm so happy I did!

And then Miss Kara let go of her hands, and Olivia was swimming alone, and didn't panic...

At the end of the lesson, she had to jump in the pool, and she did it!! Her face went in the water, and she didn't even care....I'm so proud of her!

I'm so proud of my girl, and can't wait to see how well she does next week!!

Ice Cream

It was another hot day....hanging out by the pool, eating some ice cream cones...

And...Lucy had her first swim in the pool, EVER...not too sure if she liked it!

Pool day

Yay!! Our pool is finally open, so today was our first pool day of the year...and thank goodness, since it was in the 90's with high humidity today! Bella wanted nothing to do with the actual water, but had fun hanging out on the deck, lol!

Tired kiddos

We went up to my brothers for the day today (an hour away), and on the way home the two littlest ones (and Lucy) were down for the count!

Lexi's Invitation

strawberry picking

Olivia, Bella, and I went strawberry picking today (Lexi slept over a friends house last night! It was gorgeous out...a bit sunny, but the humidity thats been killing us broke last night...so it was perfect! Olivia doesn't actually EAT strawberries, but was very serious about picking them...and on the way home, claimed to be an 'expert strawberry picker'...Bella, well, she ate a whoooooole lot of them, lol!

I think that Bella ate more (and wore more, lol) strawberries than we brought home, lol...

I Crabby, Mommy

Bella's been a bit of a bear today...I don't know if its the 'terrible two's' coming early, or what...but oy! Right before I took these pictures, she said to me 'I crabby, mommy'...lol, at least she knows it!!

A day at the Lake

The girls and I went to the lake today, for about 5 hours...perfect way to celebrate the first day of summer!

We went to a birthday party today, and Olivia hung out by the pool with her shades and her sunhat on...proudly showing off her Ariel tattoo on her cheek...

Olivia got this new hat today...and will not let it leave her head! I love that we found one that she likes, keeping the sun out of her pale little face!

Olivia had HER last gymnastics class today...and got her trophy! Po' girl has a fever, but insisted upon going to get her trophy....so off we went!

My Lexi girl had her last gymnastics class today, and got her trophy. I'm so proud of her...its her first year, and the po' kid couldn't even do a somersault when she started, and is not doing ALOT!! Way to go Lexi girl!!

Turtle

We found a turtle today, walking down the middle of the street....so the girls brought him out back for a little while, put him in the little pool...after watching him for awhile, we brought him down the street to a little pond, and let him go...
