Spiked

I have no idea what these are, but we have a tree that grows them.  They are falling like crazy, and my girls are loving making 'soup' with them....they mash them up and mix them with mud (gag)...
I call them spiked cherries....

Yep, my kids would be doing that too.

I think it is a type of dogwood... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kousa_Dogwood
